OVERVIEW
The 18-hole Stone Canyon Golf Club will serve as the centerpiece of a 300 acre development project in eastern Independence, Missouri and become the environmental model for landfill reclamation. The layout traverses rolling and rugged terrain while affording golfers several spectacular vistas of Kansas City to the east.
The layout at Stone Canyon provides guests with a truly memorable golf challenge with Norman's signature design traits that include closely mown green surrounds, creative bunkering and landscape accents that pay homage to some of the great courses in the world. The site itself is quite dramatic with interesting rock outcroppings, rolling topography and dramatic long views towards downtown Kansas City to the west.
