GOLF Magazine Recognizes The Bluffs Ho Tram Strip: “Best New Courses of 2014”
The Bluffs Ho Tram Strip
One of only 16 courses to join the elite “Best New Course” club in 2014, Greg Norman Golf Course Design’s The Bluffs Ho Tram Strip has been recognized by GOLF Magazine in the January issue. Located 2.5 hours southeast of Ho Chi Minh City, the links-style course has been lauded for excellence in design utilizing GNGCD’s signature “least-disturbance approach.” While Vietnam is not widely regarded for its quality of golf, it is an emerging, new-age destination, and The Bluffs Ho Tram is destined to put this country on the map.

"This is one of only two pieces of land of this quality and character I have ever been given to work with -- the other being Doonbeg [in Ireland]," Norman said. "I'm a firm believer in using what Mother Nature gives us on a particular site. This one has it all."

Graham Bensinger & Greg Norman
This year is already off to a great start with so many exciting things on the horizon. I turn 60 this month, and have honestly never felt better. Physically, I am in the best shape of my life and mentally, I am enjoying the additional downtime for myself and my family that I have been afforded since curtailing my golf schedule.

I am also extremely happy with where my business, Great White Shark Enterprises, is tracking to. I continue to say that we have only reached 20% of what the company is capable of, which motivates me every day to work harder and smarter. New partnerships with FOX and Troon will really be put into full gear this year and new GWSE ventures, like the Great White Shark Opportunity Fund, as well as storied ones, like Greg Norman Collection, continue to grow.

The first 60 have been great, and as I have said on numerous occasions, the first tee shot of the back nine of my life will be hit Feb 10th starting the next 60, which I know will be even better!

I leave you with some valuable lessons that I have learned in life, that you might find useful in yours:
  1. Set high standards. They will drive you to achieve.
  2. Learn the value of preparation.
  3. Be willing to change in order to succeed.
  4. Embrace failure, learn from it, and move on.
  5. Seek the advice of others.
  6. Stay in good physical condition. It will make a significant difference in your mental outlook.
  7. Victory is sweet, but how you handle yourself in defeat is often more telling.
  8. It takes time to establish something of value.
  9. Always over-deliver on the value proposition.
  10. Be humble and respectful.
  11. Expect the unexpected and deal with it in stride.
  12. Communicate openly, honestly and timely.
Truly yours,

Greg Norman
