Inaugural ‘Shark Wake Park Open Presented By Rockstar Energy’ Coming To North Myrtle Beach
Three-Day, Free Spectator Event Features World’s Greatest Wakeboarders Competing in WWA Wake Park World Series Event
NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (June 5, 2018) – The inaugural “Shark Wake Park Open Presented by Rockstar Energy” will be held at Shark Wake Park at the North Myrtle Beach Sports Complex June 14-16, featuring the world’s best wakeboarders competing in a WWA Wake Park World Series Event.
The event is free for spectators and will include a practice round on Thursday followed by two-days of competition on Friday and Saturday:
- Thursday, June 14: Practice Round, 2pm – close
- Friday, June 15: Day 1 Competition Qualifying, 1pm – 4pm
- Saturday, June 17: Day 2 Competition Semis & Finals, 12pm – 3pm; Awards Ceremony, 3pm – 4pm
Local amateur wakeboarders with a WWA membership are encouraged to enter by registering online HERE. There will also be an opportunity for locals to ride alongside the pros on Thursday morning prior to official practice round commencement.

The Aqua Park and Shark Shack will be open for normal business operations during the event, so spectators are encouraged to come out and participate. The inflatable, floating playground is the largest on the East Coast and features trampolines, monkey bars, climbing towers, slides and more. The Shark Shack offers cold beer on tap, ice cream, snacks and other refreshments to enjoy while you sit in the shade and with your family and friends to watch the pros ride.
