Norman Wins First British Masters
Hot on the heels of his third Martini International title earlier this month, Greg Norman won his first British Masters at Woburn Golf Club. Norman posted a final round 67 for a four-round total of 15-under 273 and defeated fellow Australian Graham Marsh by four shots in the £74,500 event. Englishman Howard Clark finished alone in third.
Going into the third round, Marsh and Clark were all square on 139 with Norman trailing by one shot. It was on Saturday that Norman posted a superb 66 and grabbed sole possession of the lead. Marsh’s final-round rally fell short, and it was Norman who took the trophy.
Earlier this month Norman won the Martini International and at the start of the year he claimed the Australian Masters title.
