Another Masters Title to Norman
Greg Norman and Bernhard Langer dueled again this week, in steamy conditions at Huntingdale Golf Club in Victoria. Norman defeated the German in last year’s clash and it was anticipated Langer would again provide a formidable opposition.
Once again, Norman proved too strong for the German. The Shark posted a four-round total of 285 and a decisive three-shot margin. Langer shared second with Sydney’s David Graham. Englishman Nick Faldo finished in fourth. Langer and John Clifford equaled the course record during the final round, as both posted 7-under 66s.
This was Norman’s second tournament trophy this month and comes on the heels of his Victorian Open championship title played four days previously.
